Virtual Poetry Reading with pspoets

After running so many successful poetry readings in the past 5 years, the same problem we always run into is that we can’t include more poets from around the world.

For so many writers and artists, the dream of being in Los Angeles and participating in a poetry reading is too far-fetched. However, our team is dedicated to creating a community of inclusion, and since we have so much technology at our fingertips, we’eve decided to try something new.

At a date and time to be decided, pspoets will be launching its first Virtual Poetry Reading. Now, the executing this efficiently involves some work, and this article outlines what you need to know to get involved.

Here’s the gist of what needs to happen:

Follow Us on Instagram (@pspoets) to Sign Up

We want these virtual readings to be impromptu and fun, which means it’s important for you to follow us on Instagram to get all the latest updates about when the virtual reading will take place.

Essentially, we will post on our timeline and stories that a virtual reading will be happening at a certain time on that day. Immediately, you need to like the post, tag a friend, and then record yourself reading your poem in your own IG stories. Make sure to tag @pspoets and use #pspoets in the story so that our team sees the video.

The first 25 videos that we receive will be re-shared on our IG stories to make up the virtual lineup for the reading.

For extra brownie points, be sure to visit pspoets.com and subscribe to our newsletter for additional updates and notices about our community!

Rules to Follow for Your Poetry Submissions

So, once you follow the other parameters and get ready to record yourself, be sure to follow a few simple rules:
